The Winchester Model 70 Bull Gun is the extreme heavy barrel target variation of the standard Model 70. Features wide target stock with adjustable hand stop and sling mounts, Redfield Olympic front globe sight, rear rail for Olympic rear or Palma sights and mounted on top with a J. Unertl 24X target scope with adjustable objective and spring recoil system. These Bull Guns where used for high power competition in the 600 yard and 1,000 yard matches. Most where shot extensively, re-barreled and rebuilt several times and are rarely found with out being totally rebuilt. This rifle has had the addition of a trigger shoe and the addition of an appropriate red Pachmayr waffle sided recoil pad. Bore is bright and shiny with strong rifling. Factory blue finish remains very good with slight loss at muzzle and high points of receiver and bolt handle. Stock has evidence of range wear with finish wear and loss at edges of wide forearms and a repaired crack at confluence of bolt handle channel to rear of receiver (approximately 3/4") . This would still be a great rifle on the range and or a great addition to a Winchester Bolt collection.
