The NRA Model had been accepted officially for competitive use by the National Rifle Association. These were made with 24" barrels and a special buttplate which is unique to the Model 1895. Total production numbers unknown, but extremely small and are seldom seen. Features a round blue barrel, blade and post front sight, front band with bayonet lug and swivel, rear barrel band, military rear sight to 1800 yards, blued finish and three piece walnut stock set with finger groove. Includes an 03 style two frog leather sling. Barrel retains 90% of original blue finish, the frame and lever assembly retain approximately 30% blue, bolt retains 95% bright blue and all other exposed metal is a soft mix of patina and gun metal grey. Razor sharp legends. Screw heads are true. Wood is very good to excellent and proud to metal, with exception to a crack on the left upper side of handguard. Action is fine and has a strong rifled bore, but there is a slight ring approximately 2" from muzzle.
