Features two piece walnut stocks, button half magazine and shotgun butt. The Model 65 was a continuation of the Winchester Model 1892 and was made as a companion to the Winchester Model 71. This rifle is a first year production variation and is one of the 5,714 total Model 65 Winchesters produced. Sporting front sight with elevator adjusted sporting rear. Blue finish overall with varnished walnut two piece stocks. Good overall with exceptional condition bore. Blue finish on barrel is very good with over 95% remaining with area of loss being at muzzle. Forend cap has nearly 50% blue finish. Receiver has totally flaked and is now gunmetal bright. Stocks are good as buttstock has been cleaned and very little varnish remains, however no indication of sanding exists. Forearms is very good with most all varnish remaining.
