Features round barrel with ramp front sight, choke marked "Full", a half length tube magazine, uncheckered semi-beavertail forearm, full knob pistol grip stock and checkered Winchester buttplate. Manufactured for just two years, the Model 40 was Winchesters second attempt to break into the auto loading shotgun market. Length of pull is 13-7/8". Very good condition overall. Barrel retains about half of its original blue with some scratches in the mid-section. Receiver retains 75% or more original blue. Stocks are sound with handling marks and retain most of an older restored finish. Mechanics are functional. Bore is dusty but should clean to shiny.
