This antique Winchester 1873 has been period decorated in a totem pole fashion. The stocks are heavily carved with the depiction of Indian gods with sea shell eyes. This rifle has seen extensive use and was obviously exposed to the elements. The metal barrel, receiver, hammer and lever have all obtained a pleasant even brown patina. The dust cover has long since been lost. Mechanics function properly while the bore has strong rifling with pitting and darkness in the grooves. Native American embellished arms are not frequently encountered and the opportunity to acquire them is a rarity.
