It also says on the bottom, "This weapon will not be removed from the arms locker without direct permission of the warden or his assistant......" Deer Lodge is the largest correctional facility in the state of Montana and still operates today. Very good condition. Barrel retains about 80% original blue with some light marks and scratches. Action retains about 70% blue with toning on bottom. Forearm is very good with a few marks. Buttstock is good with grain separations behind action. Markings are clear. Mechanics are good, and all visible serial numbers match. Bore is shiny. The tag that accompanies the gun is good with minor tears. Imagine if this gun could talk!
