This Saddle Ring Carbine was manufactured 1877 with thumbprint dustcover, 18" barrel, two line Winchester address, two position 500 yard rear sight and two piece walnut stocks with traditional carbine buttplate. One piece First Model carbine front sight assembly and traditional saddle ring, staple and receiver. Carbine has seen extensive restoration as the stocks are somewhat contemporary and barrel length is questionable as to having been original 18". Bore is moderately dark. Several small parts appear to be contemporary replacements. Mechanics appear to be in working order.
