This is a nice early 1903 RIA gun. 4-07 dated barrel. Correct and sharp Conrad Nelson (CN) 1908 dated cartouche, circle "P" proof behind trigger guard. Receiver was made in 1907 by serial number. Early features including a no bolt finger groove stock and early pattern handguard without rear sighting groove. Retains 40% blued finish mixed with a pleasing patina. All markings are clear. 1909 period bolt with "D" on bottom of safety lug. Smooth butt plate. Stock is fine with light handling marks. Bore is fine with strong rifling. Military leather sling is worn.
