Manufactured for the German military by Mauser. The 1940 dated 42 code Lugers are one of the scarcer of the World War II era. Features include; round barrel with dovetailed inverted V front sight, V notch rear sight on rear link, thumb safety marked "GESICHERT" in the upper position, extractor marked "GELADN", center toggle link marked "42", correct "(stick eagle) 655" Waffenamts on right side of receiver. This is an all matching numbers gun except the magazine. The magazine is a correct FXO type magazine but is numbered "3623". Gun retains approximately 92% of the original factory applied finish with just a bit of high edge wear and holster wear. Some freckling on the side plate. Wood checkered grips with sharp checkering are numbered to the gun. Great bore with sharp lands and grooves.
