These were manufactured between 1935-45 (13,800). Right side of slide is stamped "COLT SERVICE MODEL ACE". Left side of frame has the "JSB" inspector stamp for John Begley. Right side of frame has Ordnance wheel. Features Army matte parkerized finish, high profile front sight, adjustable target rear sight, serrated arched mainspring housing, checkered spurless hammer, short checkered trigger, serrated slide stop, checkered safety and Keyes diamond checkered composite grips. Proper barrel. Magazine stamped "COLT CAL. 22 LR". Slide has distinct temper line. Frame retains approximately 95% original parkerized finish with some storage marks on front grip strap and minor high edge wear. Fine bore and action.
