Features "UNITED STATES PROPERTY MODEL 1911A1 U.S. ARMY" on right side of frame and plain back hollow Keyes-type grips. Left side of frame has the "WB" inspector stamp for Waldemar Broberg (November 1941 - June 1942). Top of slide is stamped with "P". Left side of slide has 1913 date with pony in center. Features short checkered trigger, checkered wide spur hammer, checkered arched mainspring housing with loop, checkered slide stop and safety, pinned blued magazine. Barrel is stamped "COLT .45 AUTO" with "P" on left lug and a near mint bore. Frame has matching number. High edge muzzle wear, still retains 97% of the two tone matte slide finish with distinctive temper line, as does frame. Fine action. Overall a very nice, high condition, original, early World War II Colt.
