Between 1900 and 1903 approximately 4,274 of this model were manufactured; 550 were issued to the Army and Navy. Originally issued with the sight safety, which has been factory converted to the standard 1902 rear sight. Slide has the front slide serrations. Came in blued finish with Colt logo black composite grips, round butt and nickel plated original magazine with "SEPTEMBER 9 1884" patent date. Frame retains approximately 30% high polish blue on sides with approximately the same on both sides of slide; balance is brown patina. Top of the slide has some scattered freckling. Grips are near mint. Fine bore and action.
