This L.C. Smith has Damascus barrels with a full length matted top rib and brass front bead. Barrel flats marked "1E" and serial number. Case hardened action is lightly scroll engraved on lockplates and marked "L.C. Smith" on sides. Round knob buttstock is checkered in two point pattern with original lined buttplate. Splinter forearm with banjo roll type release is checkered in a three point pattern with triangular ebony tip. All visible serial numbers match. Very fine condition. This rare gun has fantastic original condition for its age and type. Barrels retain approximately 90-95% bold original damascus pattern. The action retains nearly all of its bold original case color with minor losses on the wide breech balls. Stocks are excellent with minor handling marks and retain most of their original finish with some minor finish added for preservation. Checkering is still crisp. It would be difficult to improve on this big L.C. Smith waterfowler and with RST ten gauge shells, this gun would be a hoot!
