Manufactured March 1941 "(AK) barrel code" on barrel. Barrel marked "The Remington Model 37". Barrel fitted with two external Unertl pattern scope blocks. Chambered for the .22 LR cartridge. One piece oil finished American walnut target stock with target sling attachment and rear swivel. Checkered steel butt plate. Blue finish overall with target adjustable trigger. Accepts either five round detachable magazine or the single shot adapter that is currently installed into the rifle. No magazine is included. Bright polished steel bolt with blue finished bolt handle. The Remington Model 37 Rangemaster was the contemporary to the Winchester Model 52 Target rifle. It was a superior product to any American made target rifle of the day however it did not survive the post WWII production era. This example is one of the very last produced as it was replaced by the less expensive to manufacture standard Model 37 Remington. Very fine with over 95% original factory installed blue finish. Stock is very fine with very little evidence of actual use. Weight 12 -1/2 pounds. Bore is bright with sharp rifling. No rear sight.
