Six hole pattern ventilated barrel shroud with bayonet lug. Blue finish overall with two piece American walnut stocks. Proper 18 groove slim forearm with thin wrist buttstock with Winchester hard rubber buttplate. "U.S." over Ordnance bomb marking on right side of receiver forward of ejection port. These Trench guns saw extensive US Military use as well as with police and Government security agencies immediately after World War I. Used extensively by the Expeditionary forces in South America and then again through out World War II, Korea and into the Vietnam conflict. This gun remains in its original blue finish with the proper early stocks. Barrel is choked "CYL" and is marked with a small Ordnance bomb inspection. Mounted with a contemporary commercial leather pattern 1905 sling that is void of manufacturers marks. Very fine with over 90% bright original blue finish remaining. Slight finish wear is evident at muzzle and ventilated shroud. Receiver has finish loss at balance point of bottom and numerous nicks and dings from years of handling. Stocks are very fine and retain their original oil finish and have numerous small bruises and dings. No cracks are evident and the gun is very attractive and authentic. No other inspection markings are present as these where only applied during and after World War II. Bore is very fine and bright and mechanics are in proper functioning order.
