Manufactured 1942. Barrel dated "8-42". Type 1 barrel band early flip sight marked "S" with no stake marks. Trigger assembly appears all Inland with early checkered push button safety, unmarked magazine release, dog-leg hammer and spring locking push pin. Early I-Cut stock is high wood with I.O. in sling slot with circle "P" on grip. Two rivet hand guard is I.O. marked. Complete with early khaki sling with illegible date and oiler. Excellent condition. Early dip blue finish with over 70% remaining with balance turning plumb. Bore is excellent with sharp rifling. Stocks are excellent with no cracks or material loss. These early carbine are very hard to find in original condition and would be a great addition to any carbine collection.
