Round barrel with half magazine, blued forearm cap, blued receiver, blued hammer and lever. It is a takedown. Stock is two piece American straight grain walnut with pistol grip and "I" style of checkering. Comes with had rubber pistol grip cap with Winchester logo and blued buttplate. Drop on this stock is more than standard as it reads "2-1/2" drop at heel". Extremely fine condition. Barrel would rate a good 98-99% barrel blue. Forearm cap is 93-95% blue. Takedown collar is of a darker, almost black finish, other than the receiver as is common during this period of manufacture, but it retains 95% of its finish. Left and right side of receiver retain equal amounts of blue at 98%. Hammer has 98% blue finish with one slight drag line on left side and lever sports 90-95% strong blue overall. Buttplate 93-95% blued finish with all screw heads retaining strong finish and no marring of screw heads. Stock on left side with very light impressions, very light surface scratches. Right side of stock also with light surface impressions and light surface scratches. No chips of wood missing and no cracks are evident with the forearm. Few compressions near takedown collar and light surface scratches would indicate very little use at all. No bruising indicated in checkering on stock or forearm. Buttplate and stock are marked with assembly number "77" and on right side of upper tang is marked with "77" to indicate that all features belong together. This gun remains virtually untouched from when it was manufactured, as near new as you would ever hope to find. Bore is bright and shiny with sharp rifling. Cycles correctly and mechanics are fine. An outstanding example in crisp untouched condition. From the Ray Bentley Collection.
