Gun retains a pleasing even age patina overall with some traces of original finish here and there. Markings are clear. Clear 1897 dated cartouche. Fine mechanical function. Bore is good with strong rifling and some pitting. Stock is very good with dings and handling marks, shows wear. Accompanied by an 1899 dated bayonet in scabbard. Scabbard blade tension springs are broken, so bayonet slides in and out without any resistance.
