Gun retains an even patina, having been lightly cleaned at some point. Appears to have some very slight touch up on the receiver and bolt, as well as towards the end of the barrel. Some light pitting here and there. All markings are clear. Fine mechanical function. Clear but worn 1879 dated cartouche on the left side of the stock. Circle P proof behind trigger guard. Barrel is inspected: "W.W.K./ US/ anchor" along with the standard VP eagle head proof. Fine mechanical function. Stock is worn with dings and handling marks with clear inspectors markings. Bore is fine with sharp rifling and some very minor pitting here and there. Original cleaning rod.
