26 inch round barrel with fixed front sight with no sight protecting ears. Rudimentary fixed rear peep sight. Laminated Japanese hardwood stock with wooded butt plate. with bayonet lug and two swivels. Bolt numbers matching to receiver . Chrysanthemum has been lightly defaced but is still present and legible. Bore is not chrome lined as earlier more traditional Japanese rifles where. Included is an appropriate late war bayonet with out scabbard. Condition, Good, Exterior metal has acquired an even dove grey to plumb patina. slight flecking of rust and pitting . Bore is worn with frosted grooves. Bayonet is evenly pitted but consistent with rifle condition. Wood stocks are bruised and battered as to be expected. These last ditch rifles where very crude and intended for the home troops and civilians to defend the homeland against the pending allied invasion forces.
