Lot contains: Four iron cannon balls for a four pounder cannon, each measures about 3" in diameter. They are displayed in a pyramid fashion on a wooden base. All have a visible casting seam. Remnants of an old Union County Historical Society label are attached to the front of the base. Most of the label has significant insect damage. Thankfully, before the damage, the label was re-written and states: "1775-1781 Relics of the Revolutionary War. Four cannon balls, part of the equipment captured by Colonel Ethan Allen at Ft. Ticonderoga. May 10, 1775. These relics were in the collection of C.W. Graham of Haverhill Mass. Francis Bannerman of NYC purchased the entire Graham collection afterwards presented these relics to E.K. Adams of Crawford NJ". CONDITION: Cannon balls retain a dark, heavy brown patina.
