Gun retains a pleasing patina overall. All markings are clear, although show wear. Early "945" code gun, dated 1940. Not import marked. Matching numbers. Stock cartouches are worn but present. Stock shows wear with dings and handling marks. There is a circle above the serial number on the stock that may be a plugged sling swivel hole. Bore is fine with sharp rifling. Crack at rear of hand guard. Honest example of a scarce early gun.
