Manufactured 1908. 24 inch octagon barrel with sporting blade front sight and traditional sheet metal Winchester rear sporting sight. Two line Winchester address on top barrel flat with Model 1890 to rear of address. Chamber is marked 22 Short on top barrel flat. Two piece American walnut stocks with 12 groove fore arm and crescent butt . The 1890 was Winchesters first successful pump rifle and remained in production into 1941. Manufactured in many configurations this was considered the standard model. Condition, Fine as completely refinished. Bore has visible rifling and is quite usable however has darkness in the grooves. Blue finish is a contemporary restoration with most all remaining. Stocks are full size with minor material loss from refinish. An attractive example.
