Manufactured 1861-82 only with a totally quantity of 14,500. All metal surfaces lightly cleaned to a soft, grey patina with some age freckling. Visible barrel address. Brass trigger guard and two piece walnut grips with five kill notches on left side. Left side of the frame has inspector mark "P" and left side of barrel has "S". Indexes and locks up perfectly. Strong, clean bore. Nice, honest example of a very scarce early Civil War era percussion revolver. Approximately 400-500 made were sold to the U.S. Army and bear Martial markings, serial range 13000 to 15000.
