Manufactured 1891. Octagon barrel with full magazine. Beech folding front sight with elevator adjustable sporting rear sight. Lyman folding and locking tang sight mounted on tang. Two piece American walnut stocks with crescent butt. Blue and case colored finishes, this is the third model variation with the integral dust cover rail and rebated receiver ring over chamber. Very fine overall with a wonderful untouched appearance. Factory applied blue finish is well over 70% remaining although thinning balance in turning a wonderful mellow patina. American walnut stocks are equally fine with no distress but having toned to an even aged appearance with typical small marks and bruises. The bore and mechanics are in proper order. Action is crisp and bore is very fine with good rifling and slight darkening in grooves. This is a wonderful attic condition rifle with no evidence of cleaning or attempt of restoration. A fresh to market gun that is both honest and correct.
