Gun (A) is a 1944 Ankara Turkish M38 rifle. Import marked. Retains 90% finish. Interestingly this gun appears to have originally been a KAR98 of German manufacture that was overhauled at Ankara arsenal. Numbers are not matching. Good mechanical function. Bore is very good with strong rifling. Wood is good with a crack on right side of the butt from the lower buttplate screw. Leather sling and proper bayonet with scabbard. Gun (B) is a Spandau made GEW88 dated 1894. Gun retains a pleasing patina overall with light pitting and showing wear. Markings are weak from wear. Good mechanical function. Numbers are not matching. This gun is not Turkish marked. Bolt is complete with bolt face. Bore is good with strong rifling.There are a couple minor dents in the outer barrel sleeve. Stock is solid with small bumps and bruises, dings and scratches. Accompanied by a proper bayonet missing the scabbard.
