Gun (A) is an Erfurt WWI era 1917 KAR98 (98az) carbine. Numbers are not matching, later floor plate and straight handle bolt. Import marked on barrel. Does not appear to have any foreign markings. Stock is worn with splitting along grain on either side of the butt. Guns shows wear with traces of finish. Bore has strong rifling. Good mechanical function. Both front and rear trigger guard screws are replacements. The rear band is an incorrect replacement with a sling swivel on the bottom. Gun (B) is an Israeli conversion to .308 on a dot 1944 WWII era 98k Mauser rifle. Has both the German and Israeli proofs on the receiver. Israeli barrel & stock. Numbers are not matching. Good mechanical function. Bore is dirty with strong rifling. Missing the cleaning rod. Comes with a proper Israeli converted bayonet with scabbard. Numbers on bayonet and scabbard are not matching, but both retain the original German markings as well as Israeli proofs.
