Gun (A) is a Tokyo arsenal made type 38 long rifle. Retains 60% finish mixed with a pleasing patina. Mum has been ground from receiver. Non of the numbers are matching. Double zero series, with "00" preceding the serial number. Good mechanical function. Stock has numerous dings and handling marks, appears to have had an extra coat of varnish applied at some point. Not import marked. Reproduction leather sling. Has a Jinsen arsenal made bayonet missing the scabbard. Bayonet has a pleasing patina, minor nicks in blade, does not appear to have been sharpened. Gun (B) is an Italian type I rifle. These were made in Italy under contract for the Imperial Japanese Navy in 1937. Bore is good with strong rifling, could use a thorough cleaning. Good mechanical function. Not import marked. Original WWII Japanese leather sling.
