Gun (A) is a Nagoya series 10. Mum is intact. Bolt number does not match, however the condition does. Gun retains a pleasing patina overall. All markings are clear. Not import marked. Late war gun with block rear sight and wood buttplate. No provision for a cleaning rod. Single screw square rear sling swivel. The band and rear sling swivel appear to have been cleaned at some point. Good mechanical function. Bore is fine with strong rifling. Stock has some dings and handling marks. Reproduction leather sling and dust cover. Accompanied by a late war slab style Jinsen bayonet with a standard metal scabbard. Straight quillon with squared off pommel. Wood grips are good with some handling marks and dings. Bayonet does not quite go on the gun. Gun (B) is a Toyo Kogyo long type 99, series 35. Retains 90% high luster finish. All markings are sharp and clear. Bolt is not matching. Not import marked. Mum is ground. Reproduction arms on rear sight as well as monopod and dustcover. Long type cleaning rod appears original. Original rubberized canvas sling. Wood is very good with dings and handling marks, good Kanji characters. Fine mechanical function. Bore is very good with strong rifling. Accompanied by a standard early Tokyo bayonet with hooked quillon in metal scabbard. Wood grips appear to have been revarnished.
