Gun (A) is a Nagoya type 99, series 4. Mum is ground. Retains 70% finish. All markings are clear. Not import marked. Good mechanical function. Wood is fine with some dings and handling marks. Good Kanji character on bottom of stock. Bolt is not matching. Early style aircraft sight has both arms present. Monopod and sling are reproductions as is the dust cover and long style cleaning rod. Accompanied by a National Denki (Electric) marked bayonet with straight quillon. Wood grips on bayonet are oversized replacements. Standard metal scabbard. Gun (B) is a Kokura type 99, series 20. Mum is ground. Retains 85% finish. Numbers are not matching. Dust cover is an original as is the monopod and long style cleaning rod. Reproduction rubberized canvas sling. Bore is in fine condition with strong rifling. Good mechanical function. Stock shows wear with dings and handling marks. Kanji character is worn. Not import marked. Accompanied by a standard Tokyo arsenal bayonet with hooked quillon. Light pitting and a pleasing patina overall. Wood grips have some chips out of them.
