Gun retains 95% finish overall. 1-43 dated barrel. All markings are clear. Stock has some marks, hairline crack in the wrist extending back on either side from the rear of the triggerguard. There are a few good sized dings/gouges on the right side of the stock. Cartouches on the left side of the stock are visible. Bore is fine with sharp rifling. 4 groove. Remington bolt, front band, and probably some other parts. This is one of the earlier made Smith Corona 03A3 rifles, being the 1,693rd gun produced (the serial number block for SC guns started at 3608000). Overall a fairly hard to find very early Smith Corona made gun. Accompanied by a worn leather sling and a UFH 1943 arsenal cut down bayonet with scabbard.
