The original backboard has gold and black stenciling. There is a rope decorated blue felt shield that measures 20" long x 12" wide that displays all of Nobel's shot shells. No glass. Board is complete and original with no restoration and is in excellent condition. There are a couple of slivers that could be glued tight. Original stenciled backboard reads "THIS EXHIBITS IS THE PROPERTY OF NOBELS EXPLOSIVES COMPANY LTD GLASGOW 11.1703". The backboard is a thin outer covering and has usual wear and cracks. Stunning display piece for collectors of English sporting side by side shotguns. These were never sold to the public and were only distributed to the largest dealers; especially rare with all of the original hulls intact.
