Black oxide finished Inland receiver numbered "EA26". The numbers are rolled not stamped and believed to be indicating experimental. This rifle was the subject of discussion of the M1 Carbine Collectors Association. Carbine is mounted with a "S" marked flip sight and a 4-43 General Motors barrel. Two rivet Inland handguard and a IO marked "I" cut buttstock. The internal parts are all early Inland and the early dog-leg hammer as well as the strut are all in the white. Type I band, blank push button safety with blank magazine release. This unique carbine is the only example we have seen with this EA prefix. Barrel and receiver have over 80% of their thinning black oxide finish. The trigger assembly, bolt and operating rod have over 95% of the manufacturer's finishes remaining. Bore is bright and shiny with sharp rifling. Rifle functions correctly. CORRECTION: From the collection of Kent V. Bissel.
