Gun (A) is a Savage made No.4 Mk.I* Enfield. Retains 90% finish. All markings are clear. Import marked on the barrel. US PROPERTY was ground off the right side of the receiver during a British arsenal overhaul. FTR marked on the bottom left of the butt socket. Flaming ordnance bomb and British military proofs are present. Matching numbers on all parts including magazine, per arsenal refurbish. Buttplate has a chip out of the left side. Good mechanical function. Wood is fine with handling marks. Fine bore with strong rifling. Gun (B) was built on a 1943 dated Ishapore arsenal No. 1 Mk III receiver. These guns were commercially built and so marked by Golden State Arms of Pasadena, California. Good mechanical function. All markings are clear. Wood is fine with light handling marks. Bore is fine with strong rifling. Numbers are not matching. Equipped with an OD canvas M1 Garand style sling. CORRECTION: From the collection of Kent V. Bissel.
