Very crude Winchester M1 carbine with serial number 0512 on receiver. Marlin Barrel, "S" marked flip sight, unmarked trigger assembly, Winchester hammer, checkered push button safety with later "M" marked magazine release. Two rivet Winchester hand guard and a non-inspected high wood stock with a "W" stamped on pistol grip and on sling channel. Non-import with Type 1 band with post-war green web sling. The receiver looks to be a tool room item or a developmental item. CORRECTION: From the collection of Kent V. Bissel.
