Standard Underwood WWII issue carbine with the "UNDERWOOD" manufactures marking stamped upside down. All early Underwood marked parts including bolt, front sight, slide, trigger housing, trigger, sear, Type 3 Underwood hammer, unmarked Type 3 safety, AU Type 2 magazine catch, "MU" marked cut down from high wood stock, four rivet MU handguard, AU recoil plate and Underwood butt plate. The Type 3 bayonet lug/band is an obvious addition. Very good with over 75% original finish. Stocks are very lightly sanded at time of high wood modification. Stocks are solid with good "ULF/ GHD" cartouche. CORRECTION: From the collection of Kent V. Bissel.
