Demi-bloc barrels are fitted with full length matted rib, central portion milled away forming quarter rib and front ramp. Sights consist of single standing U-notch rear and silver bead front. Makers name and address are on central portion of rib. Barrel flats are stamped with 1960 Ferlach proofs. Coin finished scallop-backed Blitz double Kersten action has automatic safety and double set triggers, and also features reinforcing bolsters and bushed strikers. Action is engraved with very well rendered deep relief oak leaves and acorns on bolsters, and with near full bodied vignettes of European big game with scroll as background on sides; two stags and a hind are running through brush on left, with a walking trio of roebuck and two does on right. Well streaked dense European walnut capped pistol grip buttstock with composition ribbed buttplate. Stock features well cut point pattern checkering at grip, well sculpted nose of comb, and small shadow line right hand cheekpiece. Matching three piece forend has Deeley release. Weight: 10 lbs 1 oz. Rifle is accompanied by some letters regarding Ferlach rifles and guns, some loading data producing good shooting groups, and pages from January 2013 AMERICAN RIFLEMAN, "Soft Loads for African Cartridges". Also included are a set of CH reloading dies, Lyman bullet casting blocks, fired brass, and some gas checks, as well as cast and lubricated bullets. Excellent, retaining over 97% original finish on all wood and metal surfaces, with numerous light handling marks. Bores are excellent. Mechanically excellent. Reloading supplies are good.
