Proper gun with markings factory stamped out of the way of the scope block. 12-43 dated barrel without a front sight. Scarce second A4 serial number block, being very early in that range as well. Proper bolt with dished out bolt handle for scope clearance. Redfield scope mount. Very good stock has some dings and handling marks. Cartouches on the left side of the stock are worn but present, "RRA-C" cartouche on the right side of the stock. Bore is very good with sharp two groove rifling. This gun is equipped with an M1D style M84 scope. Optics are fine. Some 03A4 rifles were outfitted with M84's for issuance in the Korean war and early Vietnam. Comes with a commercial "Uncle Mike's" brown leather sling of military style. CORRECTION: From the collection of Kent V. Bissel.
