Gun retains 90% finish with wear to high points, has a bit of Cosmoline in it. Proper "S.A./ G.A.W." cartouche on left side of stock. 12-43 dated barrel. Fine mechanical function. Stock is fine with light handling marks. Bore is fine with strong rifling. Consignor notes that this gun is an "M. Wamsher" gun. Correct drawing number on trigger guard housing & operating rod. Drawing number on bolt is from November of 1942 which would still be correct for a December of 1943 made gun. Other drawing numbers not checked. Includes a proper canvas sling. This gun comes in a Miltech pine crate that has had the serial number of this rifle written on the lid after the number for the gun which originally came in it. Makes for a nice, safe storage/transit case. This gun has NOT been refurbished by Miltech. CORRECTION: From the collection of Kent V. Bissel.
