This dazzling gun has Titanic Steel barrels with full length matted top rib and large white front bead. 1-1/2 Frame. Unstruck barrel weight of 3lbs 6oz. Nickel plated double triggers, auto-ejectors, automatic safety. Capped pistol grip buttstock is checkered in three point pattern with tear drop behind action and has a silver shield near the toe which is engraved with initials "AMB" and original engraved skeleton buttplate. Splinter forearm is checkered in standard DHE pattern with engraved Deeley release and engraved steel tip. Action is engraved in standard DHE grade pattern with Pointer on left, Setter on right and four pheasants on trigger plate all surrounded by Parker scroll engraving. Excellent and collector quality. This gun appears totally original and remains in a great state of preservation. Barrels with 95% original blue. Buttstock and forearm are excellent with original finish and only minor handling marks. Action retains about 75% original case color, darkening on the bottom of the frame but still mostly present. Trigger guard with traces of original blue, mostly flaked, not worn. Buttplate retains around half of its original blue. Barrel breech ends retain original strike marks and rib extension with strong original blue indicating this as a very lightly used gun. These 26" 12 gauge guns are a ball in the field and it would be hard to improve upon the quality and originality of this one! CORRECTION: From the collection of Kent V. Bissel.
