Offered is a very early five digit 1917 manufactured Army issue six shot double action revolver built on the square butt N frame. Smooth walnut grips are not numbered. Bottom of barrel is stamped "UNITED STATES PROPERTY". Butt is stamped "US ARMY MODEL 1917". Butt is equipped with lanyard ring. Revolver has case colored trigger and humpback hammer. Left side of frame has Ordnance bomb inspector stamp. Retains approximately 97% of the pre-war commercial style blue finish. Gun has seen little to no use with no cylinder burn, just some light high edge muzzle and barrel wear and light drag line. Light thinning at high spot on backstrap. Bright colors and rich blue finish. Razor sharp legends. Excellent to near mint walnut grips. Indexes and locks up correctly with a near mint bore.
