The Colt 1909 US Army revolver a version of their heavy-frame .45-caliber New Service model in .45 M1909, a version of the .45 Long Colt with an enlarged rim to facilitate extraction. This gun was made in 1911. Retains 75% original finish overall with finish wear to grip straps, high points, and muzzle. All markings are clear. R.A.C. inspected. Fine mechanical function. Matching numbers on frame, crane, butt, both grips, and cylinder latch. "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" marking under barrel. Bore is fine with sharp rifling. This gun is the predecessor to the Model 1917 in .45ACP.
