Gun A: This is a custom colt new service and that the top strap and rear strap have been milled and checkered. The rear sight scoop has been milled flat, has a checkered trigger, has a deluxe colt silver medallion diamond checkered walnut grips, otherwise it is a standard six shot, double action, blue finished, with a scare 4 - 1/2" barrel, retaining approx. 75-80% factory blue finish, indexes and locks up like new, with a strong near mint bore and fine action. Gun B: Is a British .455 Eley WWI issue. This gun was manufactured in 1916. The British Government ordered a large supply of commercial colt new service revolvers for issue to the military, in the standard .455 british caliber. These were widely popular during the first world war by officers in the trenches. These guns will be found with numorous british proofs, but are basically a standard commercial new service with blued finish, six shot, double action, with the colt logo black composite grips. Gun retains approx. 75% original factory blue. Having seen service, but was well cared for. Has a fine bore and action is like new. Has excellent grips. A nice example of a British used WWI Colt.
