All three revolvers sport a parkerized finish with case colored hammers and triggers, smooth walnut grips and lanyard rings. All are six shot, double action, built on the square butt K frame. The true Victory Model issued to the military had a "V" serial number prefix and the finish was referred to as the "Black Magic" finish. Gun (A) has no U.S. markings and retains 95% of the parkerized finish with usual handling marks. Matching serial number on frame and cylinder. Excellent case colors. Grips show usual small dings; right grips panel is numbered to gun. Fine bore and action. Gun (B) has no U.S. markings. Matching numbers on barrel and cylinder. Retains approximately 95% of the parkerized finish. Good case colors. Right grip panel is numbered to gun; grips are excellent. Fine bore and action. Gun (C) is stamped "US PROPERTY" on top left frame with Ordnance bomb and "GHD" inspector mark for Guy Dewey. Generous case colors on hammer and trigger. 95% original parkerized finish with usual small storage dings. These revolvers were manufactured from 1942 to 1945. The "V" represented the victory against the Axis powers. It is believed the unmarked revolvers were sold to civilian users at defense plants, post office, and other essential war-time agencies. This is an excellent lot of World War II Victory Models all in far better than average condition given the general hard service of most. The fit and finish appears to be rather crude compared to the Commercial versions of a standard pre-war Military & Police Model.
