Manufactured in 1942. Features include: round blue barrel with Lyman gold bead front sight with hood, two-thirds magazine tube, 98A bolt peep sight, walnut semi-beavertail forend with two checkered panels. Walnut pistol grip rear stock with two checkered panels at the wrist, checkered metal buttplate and factory sling bow swivels. One of 1,149 Model 71's made in 1942. This gun retains approximately 97% of the factory applied deep blue finish with just one small blemish on the left side of the action. Great bore with sharp lands and grooves. Stocks are proud to metal with sharp checkering. A desirable high condition Winchester that would be hard to upgrade. From the G. Thomas Puett Collection.
