Heavy round barrel is fitted with Williams express rear sight on sloping island base. Silver bead front is in checkered base with sight protector. Top of barrel is marked "COLTS PT. F. A. MFG. CO., HARTFORD, CT. U.S.A.". Caliber is at left rear. Patented Sauer action with three rear locking lugs is marked "COLT SAUER" and "GRAND AFRICAN" between rampant Colt and triple S logos. Bottom metal has removable box magazine. Safety is on rear tang. Reddish toned hardwood (mesquite ?) stock with Monte Carlo comb, right hand cheekpiece, rosewood forend tip, and grip cap measures 13-5/8" over black white line pad. Rampant Colt logo is set into bottom of grip cap. Excellent, very close to new, with only very faint handling and assembly marks in wood and metal. Bore is excellent. Action is extremely smooth.
