Manufactured by Deutsche Waffen und Munitionsfabriken Co. Features include; round barrel with dovetailed inverted V front sight, V notch rear sight on rear link, center toggle link marked "DWM" in script. Over the chamber is the American Eagle crest. This is known as the 1902 fat barrel and is an icon for any Luger collection. It was the first Luger in 9mm and sold commercially in the United States. With only about 700 manufactured this is a scarce gun in any condition. This gun retains 92% of the original factory rust blue finish with strawed small parts. This gun shows honest handling marks and just a bit of high edge wear. It has all the early features such as dished toggle, wide grip safety and narrow trigger. Checkered walnut grips that show the correct amount of wear. Tin magazine with a script "Cal.9m/m" magazine bottom. The fat barrel is very distinctive and has a great bore with sharp lands and grooves. From the G. Thomas Puett Collection.
