Manufactured immediately after the secession of the first World War, is this fine condition Commercial Model 1911 with all proper early features to include short wide spur checkered hammer, checkered slide stop and safety, long smooth trigger, smooth flat mainspring housing with lanyard. Blued barrel with polished chamber stamped "SP" at base and "E" on right lug. Proper high polish tempered two tone magazine with pinned base. Slide with 1913 patent date with pony in center and correct period sights. Slide has muzzle wear, fully retains 97% of its original factory blue finish with a smattering of light age freckles. Frame retains at least 95% of its original factory blue with a hint of thinning on straps and a few minor age freckles only. Diamond checkered walnut grips are near mint. Bore and action are as new.
