The caliber .38-40 is among the scarcer of the New Service calibers. This is a six shot, double action with factory blue finish and near mint Colt composition black grips with lanyard ring. As to condition this revolver begs no apologies. There is a hint of muzzle wear, some fine line high edge wear and a hint of wear on trigger guard but still retains fully 99% of the original factory blue finish with just a couple of storage freckles on right side of barrel. As new inside and out. Worthy of a box. From the G. Thomas Puett Collection.
