Aside from a couple of light storage spots on top of slide, a hint of muzzle wear, the mainspring housing being grey patina and some thinning on grip safety, this pistol remains in almost near new inside and out, unfired condition retaining nearly all of its original brushed blue military finish except where noted. All correct parts for this era including Type II flat top rear sight with radius corners, small front sight, checkered wide spur hammer, checkered slide stop and safety, long smooth trigger, flat mainspring housing with loop, near mint diamond checkered walnut grips and two toned tempered magazine with pinned base and loop. Barrel sports the high polish blue finish with the "HP" stamp on chamber, sans serifs; looks to have been redone. Fine bore and action. One of the nicest 1917 manufactured Colt's we have seen. From the G. Thomas Puett Collection.
